WHY BUY FROM V. F. THOMAS CO.?
I will not sell any stamp supplies that I don't think are worth your money, no matter how much profit there may be in it for me. And of the profit I do receive, much of it gets passed on to Anaskimin, a nonprofit whose mission is "to reawaken people's awareness of the landscape they live in, enabling them to reconnect with, appreciate, and value natural places." I donate 5% of the selling price (note: 5% of the selling price, not 5% of just the profit) to Anaskimin. (Observant readers who visit the Anaskimin website may notice that Anaskimin's mailing address is the same as that of V. F. Thomas Co. The reason? I am the treasurer.)
I am an independent retailer for whom these supplies are more than just products on a shelf. I use many of them with my own collection.

I don't personally use stamp hinges—I use Showgard Mounts instead—but I know that most collectors use them, so I purchased some for my stock. Before selling any, though, I tested them to see how "peelable" they were. I tested two stamps with each of two makes of hinges: G&K and Prinz. Neither were satisfactory. Prinz left a hinge remnant on both the album page and on the stamps. G&K hinges left no remnants but, when removed, took with them a bit of the album page and a bit of the stamps. So, until I find a peelable one that is satisfactory to me, I will not sell hinges. If any of you ever find a good hinge, please let me know and I will try it out. If it passes my test, I will add it to my stock.
