Route. Between St. Sauveur parking area (off Route 102) and St. Sauveur Trail (ANP #102)

Directions to trail head. The trailhead is at the edge of the St. Sauveur parking area on the east side of Route 102 north of the village of Southwest Harbor. UTM: 19T 0553252, 4906730; Lat./Long.: N 44°18′42.8″ x W 68°19′56.3″.

Trail details. The trail almost immediately crosses a bridge ...

... and then ascends over roots ...

... and rocks ...

... eventually coming to what used to be a fork in the trail (UTM: 19T 0553359, 4906773; Lat./Long.: N 44°18′44.1″ x W 68°19′51.4″).

The former left hand branch of the fork (straight ahead in the photo above) is now closed.

Turning right at this sign, you will ascend over a steep trail ...

... to an intersection (UTM: 19T 0553784, 4906767; Lat./Long.: N 44°18′43.8″ x W 68°19′32.2″) with St. Sauveur trail, only 0.2 miles from the summit of St. Sauveur.
