Maine Butterfly Survey  From the May 2009 issue of The Maine Entomologist, volume 13, number 2, page 3: "The Maine Butterfly Survey (MBS), a citizen-science atlasing project, is beginning its third field season. The MBS is a five-year project to document the diversity, status, and habitat relationships of butterflies and skippers across our state. Champlain Project  The Champlain Project is an all-volunteer effort to document the natural history of Mount Desert Island. The project welcomes submissions of all observations such as birds at feeders, the date of the first flower of a particular species, and the like, as well as photographs.
